Welcome to the Wachusett Regional Radio Club Homepage. We are a group of radio enthusiasts located in Central Massachusetts who are interested in utilizing multiple radio technologies that are accessible to the average person, while also enabling "off grid" communications resiliency and preparedness for the 21st century.
Regional Mesh Radio Network
One of the technologies we are excited about is known as LoRa (Long Range) mesh radio. Developed in 2015, LoRa radio hardware utilizing the Meshtastic software enables long distance communication by linking each device to the next one.This network continues to expand every day with enthusiasts building and deploying repeater nodes across the country and around the world!
